Deets: This Summer stop by Joel Mesler’s Pool Party public art installation at The Rink at Rockefeller Center!
Presented by Rockefeller Center and Art Production Fund, Pool Party will transform The Rink into a massive “pool” surrounded by lush turf grass and filled with sculptural floaties and beach balls. The “pool” itself will be a printed vinyl of Mesler’s signature water motif, which is the backdrop of several of the artist’s pieces. Inspired by Mesler’s memories of childhood pool parties, the installation invites visitors to kick off their shoes and “dip their toes” into a whimsical representation of summertime bliss.
Hint for the Average Socialite: The installation will be on view from July 2nd through July 21st, and is the backdrop of the Center’s Summer at The Rink programming which includes outdoor dining, movie nights, an arcade, live music, and more.
