Deets: International advocacy organization Global Citizen announced the lineup for the 11th annual Global Citizen Festival, taking place on Central Park’s Great Lawn in New York City on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

The line-up includes: Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion, Conan Gray, and Stray Kids, with more to be announced.

These artists will join Global Citizen to call on world leaders, major corporations, and foundations to:

  • Empower women and girls by increasing access to education, quality healthcare, routine immunization, family planning support and menstrual products, opportunities for economic empowerment and end the perpetuating the cycle of extreme poverty.

  • Take climate action to continue the momentum generated at last month’s Power Our Planet: Live in Paris event and mobilize funding to enable climate-vulnerable countries to mitigate the effects of climate change.

  • Alleviate global food and malnutrition crisis and encourage governments to raise money for the IFAD replenishment at the end of 2023, so impacted communities can adapt to climate change and improve food security for themselves and the world.

Since it began lighting up Central Park’s Great Lawn in 2012, the Global Citizen Festival has become the world’s longest-running global campaign calling for an end to extreme poverty that unites millions of voices, amplified by the world’s biggest artists, demanding world leaders take action NOW.

Hint for the Average Socialite: Tickets to the 2023 Global Citizen Festival are free and can be earned by joining the movement and taking action on the Global Citizen app or at www.globalcitizen.org.
