Deets: Join us on Tuesday, September 19th for a sunset walk to celebrate Climate Week!
Hosted by Citizens and City Girls Who Walk, the walk will be held along the West Side Highway, starting from the Tribeca Citizens Branch and ending near Pier 45 (about a mile and a half uptown). The walk is open to all women who wish to participate!
Did you know that walking instead of driving just once per week significantly reduces your carbon footprint over the course of a year? Or that New Yorkers have the lowest per capita carbon footprint of any U.S. state? Citizens and City Girls Who Walk have also teamed up to release a guide on “How to Walk Like a New Yorker” for visitors to the city, detailing the statistically-proven environmental, physical, and community benefits of walking as a mode of transportation. Even if you can’t join us on the 19th, we’re encouraging everyone to find ways to fit more walks into their routine!
Hint for the Average Socialite: This event is free and open to the public.
