PIER 57 IS A PERMANENT ROOFTOP OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Deets:
Historic Pier 57 is one of several locations in Hudson River Park where limited commercial uses are permitted to support the Park’s overall care and operations. In addition, the Pier also provides other public benefits, most especially, the new rooftop park – a nearly two-acre public open space offering incredible views of Little Island and New York Harbor, and now open from 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM daily. While construction continues at other portions of the pier, access to the rooftop park is from the south perimeter walkway. Follow the signs!

Pier 57 is also home to Google offices and a City Winery. There will be a 6,000 square-foot food hall from the prestigious James Beard Foundation, opening this fall.

In addition to the food hall, Google is providing a series of community spaces. These include rooms with flexible layouts that will be available for booking by local nonprofits, community organizations, cultural groups, and more, and a public gathering place—called the Living Room—located on the ground floor of the Pier’s southern edge. The Living Room will include seating and tables for people to connect and gather and provide visitors with views of the Pier, nearby Little Island, lower Manhattan, and Hudson River.

Hint for the Average Socialite: The 80,000-square-foot park located at Manhattan’s Pier 57 on the Hudson River across from West 15th Street is completely free and now open to the public. Free wifi is available. Learn more.
