Deets: FX presents an immersive experience in honor of the adaptation of Octavia E. Butler’s best-selling novel, Kindred, premiering on December 13th exclusively on Hulu. 

New Yorkers getting their holiday shopping done at the iconic Grand Central Holiday Fair are invited to warm up and grab a free cup of joe by Black-owned, Atlanta-based Dope Coffee as well as branded book totes and a complimentary digital download* of the novel at FX’s Kindred TheBook Stop. Visitors will have an opportunity to learn about the original series premiering December 13th only on Hulu and view artistic interpretations of Kindred’s themes as cover art from up-and-coming Black artists in an intimate mobile display.

The Book Stop will feature book-jacket sized artistic works from contemporary painter, Lory Ivey Alexander, visual artist; Jewel, mixed media artist; Destiny Belgrave, and illustrator, photo editor and art director; Lynne Lucien.

As an extended offering, visitors will be invited to stop by Brooklyn Black-owned bookstore, Adanne, to shop a curated collection of books by similar authors.

Hint for the Average Socialite: This event is free and open to the public on Dec 10 from 10AM-5PM at the 42nd Street entrance to Grand Central Station.
