Deets: Grupo Gitano, a luxury global hospitality group renowned for its tropical dining experiences, is proud to announce the opening of its flagship location in the United States in 2025. In its new home on Pier 17 in the Seaport, GITANO NYC is set to bring its unique fusion of jungle vibes, sophisticated design, and exclusive dance club to the heart of lower Manhattan, offering guests an unforgettable urban jungle escape with spectacular waterfront views.
This new permanent venue marks a significant milestone for Grupo Gitano, following the November 2024 launch of GITANO DUBAI, and a series of other international pop-ups and seasonal experiences. Now, with its roots firmly planted in the Seaport, GITANO NYC is ready to deliver a full-scale dining and nightlife experience, complete with signature cocktails, seasonal menus, and an ambiance reminiscent of its Tulum origins.

GITANO NYC’s new location on Pier 17 reflects the modern luxury of Tulum with views of the Brooklyn Bridge. The venue includes various transportive spaces, each with its unique personality and vibe, including a dramatic, ballroom-like main dining room with 30’ ceilings where New York City’s largest disco ball will hang and hydraulic glass doors that open onto the water. A second floor will offer an intimate and exclusive club, designed to transport guests to the inside of a disco ball.

GITANO NYC’s design captures the spirit of Tulum while integrating the cosmopolitan edge of New York City. The venue is adorned with lush palm trees, leopard-print details, antique brass chandeliers, and intricate rose-colored rope chandeliers created by Mexican artisans. Handcrafted light fixtures and cement tiles imported from Merida, Mexico, add an authentic touch, while Zapote wood tables and banquets ground the space in its Yucatán roots.
Located at one of New York City’s most dynamic waterfront destinations, GITANO NYC is poised to become more than just a dining experience. The Seaport is known for its vibrant mix of entertainment and culture, and GITANO NYC is set to contribute to this dynamic neighborhood with a full calendar of events, music, and creative programming that will appeal to both locals and visitors alike.
