Deets: Sumo Wrestlers will descend upon NYC for the ultimate “edu-tainment” experience, Sumo + Sushi hosted by Sumo legend, Konishiki. The East Coast tour kicks off with back to back weekends in New York. Each session will feature a glimpse into the history and culture of the sport led by sumo legend Konishiki, demonstrations of winning moves and forbidden moves along with some of the training techniques that are used each day, and a round-robin style exhibition of 12-15 sumo matches between our 6 sumotori followed by a Q&A portion where audience members will have the chance to interact with the sumotori.

There are several ways to experience Sumo + Sushi with different ticket tiers. If you’re looking to watch the show without food included, you can purchase ‘The Show [Viewing Only]’ at $75 + fees. Guests looking to enjoy a bento box during the event can purchase ‘Sushi + The Show’ at $145 + fees. For those looking to be closest to the action with a premium bento box and included drink, you’ll want to buy ‘Front Row: Sushi + The Show’ at $280 + fees. Guests looking for the ultimate experience with a private open bar and dedicated chef hand rolling sushi on demand, you’ll want to buy ‘VIP Sky Suite’ at $375 + fees. Limited ticket add-ons for your chance to ‘Get In The Ring’ with a wrestler are available for $200.

Hint for the Average Socialite: Ticket prices will increase as inventory decreases. Tickets are ON SALE NOW!

This is a 21+ only event except for the 1:30pm session on Sunday, June 16th. This will be the only all ages session where families can share the experience with their kids.

The host, Konishiki, is the first non-Japanese-born wrestler to reach ōzeki, the second highest rank in Sumo. Throughout his legendary career, he won the top division championship three times. After retirement, Konishiki honors his Hawaiian roots through live musical performances and has released many albums as a Hawaiian singer. He also consistently gives back to his community through the Konishiki Kids Foundation to help underprivileged children from Hawaii to experience Japanese culture.

At the end of the show, a select few guests will even ‘Get In The Ring!’ to take on the wrestler of their
choice.
