Deets: In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month, Diageo and its brands Johnnie Walker, Tequila Don Julio, Tanqueray, & Smirnoff Pink Lemonade are partnering with House of Slay (Phillip Lim, Prabal Gurung, Laura Kim, Ezra J. William, and Tina Leung), an AAPI founded and fashion-forward collective with the mission of stopping Anti-Asian hate and discrimination while shaping a safe and inclusive space for underrepresented people of all walks of life.
Diageo Day Night Mrkt Presented by House of Slay, a pop-up hype-house-meets-day/night-market in New York City at Market Line at Essex Crossing on Saturday, May 21. The one-day-only interactive and sensorial experience will shine a light on the rich AAPI cultures that exist across the Asian diaspora, and create a safe and inclusive space that educates through unique, vibrant and fun experiences, while combating Anti-Asian hate. This partnership and experience is a love letter to the AAPI community; celebrating and appreciating the many cultural contributions the Asian community has had on society through fashion, food, cocktails, culture, art, entertainment and more.
The event will invite guests 21+ to enjoy experiences inspired by the Asian diaspora, co-created by House of Slay members including designers Prabal Gurung, Phillip Lim, Designer & Creative Director Laura Kim, socialite Tina Leung and restauranteur Ezra J. William, together known as the “Slaysians.” Guests will also have a chance to sip on delicious AAPI-inspired signature cocktails, courtesy of mixologist Destinee Almonte, whose love for creating is deeply rooted in her Filipino background.
