Deets: Smorgasburg is the largest weekly open-air food market in America, attracting thousands of people to Brooklyn, Manhattan, Jersey City, Los Angeles and Miami each weekend to eat from dozens of local vendors.
Smorgasburg will reopen in three NYC area locations the first weekend of April, including a return to Jersey City where Smorgasburg launched in May 2021. The Williamsburg flagship location at Marsha P. Johnson State Park returns in June when planned park construction is completed. More than a dozen new vendors join more than 60 returning vendors across all locations.
New vendors for 2022 include:
2 Girls Cookshop: Jamaican-inspired tacos from mother/daughter duo Jataun & Shelly Flash (Brooklyn, NY), Jersey City + Prospect Park
Birria LES: Tijuana-style tacos by a trio of childhood LES friends (Lower East Side, NYC), Prospect Park
Black Rican Vegan: Puerto Rican-inspired vegan dishes by Lyana Blount (Bronx, NY), Jersey City + Prospect Park
Blake N Kylee's Creole Kitchen: New Orleans-inspired seafood & soul food by Cicely Johnson (Bellevue, NJ), Jersey City
The Boiis Co: Filipino mochi-based desserts by Kert Lasdoce, Aaron Ortega + Rivy-Major Oponda (Sunnyside, Queens) Jersey City
Frubae: Hawaiian-Taiwanese fusion frozen fruit treats by Perry Sherman (Long Island, NY), Prospect Park
Kinoko: New Orleans-style plant-based sushi by Kelseay Reed (New Orleans, LA), Prospect Park
Last Call Mixology: Fresh-pressed, small-batch cocktail mixers and mocktail bar by former La Esquina bartender Victor Castellanos (South Orange, NJ), Jersey City + Prospect Park
