Deets: The New York City Ballet is overjoyed to reopen the doors to their home at the David H. Koch Theater and celebrate with you for this glittering evening of dance and design. This year's Gala Co-Chairs are Sarah Jessica Parker, Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy, Diane Kruger, Mazdack and Zanna Rassi, Deborah Roberts and Al Roker, and Jordan Roth.
This special one-night-only program will feature two world premiere ballets and a repertory favorite. New York native Sidra Bell will choreograph her second piece for the Company, paired with Brooklyn-based designer and 2019 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund winner Christopher John Rogers. Founder and Artistic Director of GALLIM, Andrea Miller, will also create a new work for our stage with original costumes by Colombian-American designer based in Paris, Esteban Cortázar, who is known for being one of the youngest designers ever to present at New York Fashion week. Rounding out the gala program will be Jerome Robbins’ dazzling classic and ode to New York, Glass Pieces.
Hint for the Average Socialite: Further event details will be announced at a later time. NYCB remains committed to safety and will adhere to CDC and NYC health protocols as they are determined for the fall. A virtual celebration will be provided on another date for those that cannot join us in person.
Tickets for the Fall Fashion Gala will be available to the public following the July 4th holiday.
