Deets: TWA Hotel’s new outdoor roller skating rink is open on the tarmac on weekends!
It’s a wheel-y good time: The TWA Hotel’s Roll-A-Rama at the Runway Rink welcomes roller skaters to take a spin on the tarmac around the hotel’s 1958 Lockheed Constellation "Connie" airplane.
Every weekend, skaters can pull up their tube socks (bring your own!), don their terry cloth headbands and glide around to retro tunes — maybe even some disco?
Hint for the Average Socialite: Admission for one skate session is $20 per adult and $16 per child under 12 (skate rentals are included). One skate session is 50 minutes long. They need those extra 10 minutes to clean the rink in keeping with our strict safety protocols!
Weather permitting, the Roll-A-Rama is open Fridays from 4 PM to 8 PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 PM to 8 PM. Capacity may be limited, and tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Tickets cannot be purchased in advance and can only be purchased with a credit card. Occasionally the Roll-A-Rama hosts private events. Please see the list of closures here.
