Deets: Experience Intangible Forms, an audio-visual journey into both the known and unknown as we re-emerge into our familiar, yet forever changed surroundings. By Japanese multi-media artist Shohei Fujimoto, this kinetic laser performance and installation connects us to the core humanity within ourselves.
Minimalist in nature, the installation parallels our current societal experience of embracing our most foundational lives by highlighting patterns created by the repetitive, modular rhythms of the world around us.
Set in a meditative soundscape inspired by the powerful quiet of Shinto shrines in the mountains of Japan, the centerpiece laser performance entrances us to see the intangible as tangible. “I’ve been trying to generate virtual consciousness and, in extension, virtual life in this work, triggering a deeper sense of humanity in ourselves,” shares Fujimoto. This central idea continues through a series of four more works throughout the space.
Dramatic, visceral, and operatic in nature, this multi-sensory experience invites guests to exist in a space and time all its own, for the duration of the visit.
