Deets: The New Year's Eve special, which celebrates its 48th anniversary next month, will broadcast from three different U.S. cities, with first-time host Porter beaming in from the New Orleans countdown and Ciara taking over the Los Angeles telecast for her third consecutive year. Hale and Seacrest will co-host the main program live from Times Square in New York City, with the latter leading the traditional countdown to midnight.

The program will feature nearly six hours of performances and interviews, as well as reports on New Year’s celebrations from around the world.

Seacrest, who returns for his 15th year as host next month, joined Dick Clark, the show's original creator and namesake, as co-host for its 2006 edition after the latter suffered a minor stroke in 2004; Seacrest took over as the official host shortly thereafter. The show was officially renamed "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest" for the 2009 edition. Clark, who received the Recording Academy Trustees Award in 1990, died in 2012 at age 82 following a heart attack.

Who You May Spot: GRAMMY winners Billy Porter and Ciara, alongside actress/singer Lucy Hale, will join creative multi-hyphenate Ryan Seacrest to count down the final hours of 2019.

While no musical performers have been announced, past guests include Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa, Halsey, Shawn Mendes, BTS, Zedd, Britney Spears and many others.
