Deets: Join us for a time of education, liberation, and celebration on Saturday, June 11th in a multi-course dinner with wine pairings presented by Executive Chefs David & Tonya Thomas with special guest commentary by The Griot-- Michael W. Twitty.  

Michael Twitty is a food writer, independent scholar, culinary historian , and historical interpreter personally charged with preparing, preserving and promoting African American foodways and its parent traditions in Africa and her Diaspora and its legacy in the food culture of the American South. 

Be prepared for an outdoor experience featuring an open fire and grilled menu elements steeped in the richness of the Black experience. When federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1865 to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people were freed, it was that momentous occasion which prompted immediate and lasting celebrations.

As always, the H3 dining experience centers the masterful culinary creations of our Executive Chef Team and will be accented by the live music stylings of The Jonathan Gilmore Project, and you--- our amazing guests.
