LUNAR NEAR YEAR 2020 AT THE FREER AND SACKLER MUSEUM, DC

Deets: Join us for our sixth annual Lunar New Year celebration to ring in the Year of the Rat. Enjoy food, performances, and art representing the richness of New Year celebrations in China, Korea, and Mongolia. Experience interactive art demonstrations, live magic and musical performances, and delicious food for sale. And enjoy two special Sackler exhibitions—Resound: Ancient Bells of China and Sacred Dedication: A Korean Buddhist Masterpieceand the permanent collection of Asian art in the Freer.

Our Lunar New Year celebration is presented with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China; Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports, Tourism, Radio & Television; the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Republic of Korea; and The Robert H.N. Ho Family Foundation.

This is part of Lunar New Year DC, organized by the Freer and Sackler, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Kennedy Center.
