Deets: Global retailer UNIQLO opens a new store in Los Angeles at Westfield Century City on Friday, September 27 with grand opening events. The festivities will kick off with a traditional Japanese Taiko drum performance at 9:50 AM, followed by the new store opening at 10:00 AM.
These store openings are part of UNIQLO’s continued growth in North America, which includes over 20 new locations planned for 2024. With nearly half of these stores now open, they represent Texas and California leading the brand’s investment in brick-and-mortar retail. This expansion follows a period of significant growth during the 2023 fiscal year.
Products and Services
UNIQLO Westfield Century City will offer the brand's iconic products for men, women, and children, offering exclusive promotions for the Grand Opening (from 9/27 through 10/3) on loved products like the Mini Round Shoulder Bag, Flannel Shirts, Baby and Toddler Leggings, Smart Ankle Pants, Crew Neck T-Shirts, BLOCKTECH Parka, Colorful Socks and more.
Additionally, for any pair of pants $20 or above (excluding athletic wear and sweatpants), UNIQLO provides free hemming services to ensure pant lengths fit the customers' unique measurements. UNIQLO also offers complementary in-store pick-up for online orders. The online store offers a wider variety of products, styles, colors, and extended sizes.
Community Partnerships
The Los Angeles Mission
Through our in-store clothing collection program, RE.UNIQLO, we collect gently used
UNIQLO clothing from our customers and donate them to people experiencing homelessness in the community. Clothing collected from UNIQLO Westfield Century City and other UNIQLO stores in the LA area is donated to The Los Angeles Mission.
UNIQLO has been working with the The Los Angeles Mission for just over 3 years, ensuring that our donated clothing is properly distributed to those within the Los Angeles community who need it. Over the years, UNIQLO has additionally supplied the organization with new clothing donations (based on the needs of the community) of key LifeWear products like AIRism, HEATTECH, and down jackets. UNIQLO store staff have also volunteered at The Los Angeles Mission’s key community outreach events around holidays.
Safe Place for Youth
UNIQLO has volunteered with a Safe Place for Youth at their community center in Venice, helping to prepare meals for their clients and also support in their community garden by weeding and mulching. Safe Place for Youth is the leading provider for youth homeless services (18-25 years old) on the Westside of LA. SPY provides essentials such as clothes and food along with case management, education and employment support, healing arts, and more. Each night, SPY houses over 200 members at its 8 housing sites and each year, SPY serves over 1,200 individuals (18-25 years old) in need of services.

Customers will be treated to a personalized and authentic Japanese Calligraphy experience.

Additionally, customers will receive a FREE donut hole from local Cafe Dulce during grand opening weekend (9/27 - 9/29) from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM *UNIQLO APP members only.

Customers will also be able to shop limited-edition exclusive designs on UNIQLO UTme! T-shirts from local artists. 100% of the proceeds* will benefit Los Angeles Mission, The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and Safe Place for Youth.
