Deets: The 34th annual Friendly House Luncheon was an afternoon of hope, resilience, and recovery.

Supporters like Lucy Hale, Angela Renee White, Tallulah Willis, Sasha Pieterse, Charlotte Ross, Bishop Briggs, Mignon, Jesse Money, John Gourley of Portugal. The Man and Kathryn Boyd Brolin attended the annual Luncheon to support women from all gender experiences recovering from substance use disorders and mental health challenges.

Award-winning actress and producer, Lucy Hale, Warner Chappell Music SVP A&R, Greg Sowders, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) advocacy leader, Zina Rodriguez, and award-winning psychologist, author, and published researcher, Dr. Don Grant were honored for their exemplary service and shared mission to empower and strengthen women in addiction and substance abuse recovery.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS alum reunited when Sasha Pieterse presented Lucy Hale with her Humanitarian Award. Lucy shared about her first drink at 14, negotiating with her addiction, and ultimately choosing herself over alcohol. “My sobriety didn’t spring from a belief that I could somehow do great things to change the world. I just knew I had to save myself, shared Hale. “ I finally made the commitment to face who I was and what I needed to do. It was January 2, 2022, and in exactly two weeks, I will be 1000 days sober!”

Another milestone celebrated at the fete was for Angela Renee White (Blac Chyna). Sept 14 marked two years of sobriety for Angela who was serenaded by Friendly House Executive Director, Christina Simos. Simos led the crowd in Stevie Wonder’s, Happy Birthday, (see Angela White IG video here) while White was presented with a birthday cake for the special occasion.

Luncheon guests were treated to two incredible performances by Grammy Award winner, John Gourley of Portugal. The Man, and Platinum Recording Artist Bishop Briggs who closed the show before presenting Greg Sowders with his Visionary Award. Sowders is not only a powerhouse in the music industry, but also a titan of recovery who has helped innumerable people.

The event was hosted by entrepreneur and artist, Tallulah Willis who brought joy and levity to a very serious subject.
