Deets: On Tuesday, November 26 the nonprofit hosts its 11th annual “Festival Comunitario del Faithsgiving.”
From 2:30-4:30pm they will give away 1,000 FREE turkeys, alongside fresh produce, pantry staples, clothing, diapers, backpacks, school supplies and more for any LA households in need. Additional community resources will be on offer, including from the Department of Mental Health, the QueensCare Vison Van, LADOT, and United Way.
Live entertainment will be provided by Bob Baker Marionettes; the award-winning all female mariachi ensemble Mariachi Las Colibri; Tegan the Clown; and performance artist/musician Norton Wisdom. Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez will also be joining the festivities. All are welcome as recipients, volunteers, or simply to join the community!
Hint for the Average Socialite: The nonprofit (LA’s oldest synagogue, now turned nonprofit, multi-faith gathering space, live music and arts venue, and community center) will be closing 12th street between Union and Albany, in the Pico Union neighborhood near downtown LA. Festivities will take place at the Pico Union Project: 1153 Valencia St., Los Angeles, CA 90015.
