Candy Cane Lane stars Eddie Murphy as ‘Chris’ who is on a mission to win his neighborhood's annual holiday home decoration contest. In a heartwarming extension of the movie's themes, Prime Video is also joining forces with Habitat for Humanity to “Candy Cane Lane-ify” a selected neighborhood in a grand gesture to spread the magic and joy of the holidays, and capture the imagination of local communities. Thanks to generous product donations from Balsam Hill and Govee, the exteriors of eight new houses will be transformed into a winter wonderland, adorned with smart light displays and stunning holiday decor. Govee will light up the neighborhood with their latest innovative holiday lights and will ignite the holiday spirit with a dynamic light show. As a welcome home gift, Fire TV will outfit each of these homes with a 55-inch Omni QLED Series smart TV so families can stream all of their holiday favorites and Candy Cane Lane. Plus, From 12/1 – 12/20, for every hour streamed of Candy Cane Lane on Fire TV, Amazon will send $1 to Habitat for Humanity, up to $50,000 as part of the Stream it Forward program.
Beyond this Candy Cane Lane experience in Los Angeles, Amazon employees will volunteer in Habitat for Humanity build days across the nation as part of a larger initiative led by Amazon in the Community, a global program dedicated to building stronger communities in the cities and towns where our employees live and work by addressing needs in disaster relief, education, food security, and housing. Candy Cane Lanevolunteer sites will include: Detroit, MI; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Nashville, TN; New Orleans, LA; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA; St. Louis, MO; and Washington, DC. These projects will be enhanced with Ring technologies, thanks to Ring’s $1 million yearly commitment of Ring products and subscriptions to Habitat for Humanity, now in its third year running.
