Deets: Hollywood Forever's acclaimed Day of the Dead Celebration is back for its 24th installment on Saturday, October 28th 2023.
This year, we proudly present "Máscaras de México - Vida y Muerte en La Máscara,"an immersive experience that pays homage to the rich cultural heritage of Mexico and Latin America through the art and symbolism of masks.
The event will be split into two separate ticketed experiences, the Daytime Event from 9am to 3pm PDT, and the Nighttime Event from 5pm to 12am PDT, providing guests with an opportunity to delve into the unique themes and traditions of Día de los Muertos. Headlining the Nighttime event is none other than Bomba Estéreo. The internationally acclaimed Colombian band will take the main stage with their infectious rhythms and energetic performances, promising an unforgettable evening of music and celebration.
Families can join us for a day of cross cultural creativity and exploration. The Children's Village will offer interactive activities, storytelling sessions, and mask-making workshops to engage young minds in the beauty of Día de los Muertos traditions.
A Multifaceted Celebration "Máscaras de México - Vida y Muerte en La Máscara" celebrates the ancient art of mask-making, which has held a significant role in Mesoamerican funerary traditions and contemporary folk celebrations in Mexico and Latin America. These masks serve as a form of cultural and religious expression, passed down through generations, and play a vital role in connecting different cultures through storytelling.

Delight in the enchanting Children's Village and explore over 150 Aztec dancers and performers on four spectacular stages. 🌙 NOCHE DE LOS MUERTOS (5PM-12AM) 🌙 As the sun sets, the festivities reach new heights. Prepare to be mesmerized by the electrifying beats of Bomba Estereo, as they ignite the night with their sensational music. Join the jubilant crowd as we dance under the stars, celebrating life and paying tribute to our beloved ancestors.
