Deets: Bringing together some of the biggest names in sustainability and environmental stewardship, the inaugural Sea Change Festival is a free and open to the public beach clean up and festival experience, which coincides with the West Marine US Open Sailing Series’ Long Beach race weekend (July 15-17). The Sea Change Festival is hosted by Kilroy, North America’s leader in sustainable real estate development and a premier sponsor of US Sailing. In partnership with Surfrider Foundation, the charitable event motivates fans, families, and area locals of all ages to take part in an action-packed beach clean up followed by Olympic hopeful athlete appearances, live music and DJ sets, live art installations, professional sandcastle building, food & beverages stations, giveaways, and over-the-top activations from sustainably minded brands.

The Sea Change Festival places fans in prime position to watch the high-speed action of the Formula Kiteboarding and Kite Foil portions of the West Marine US Open regatta while soaking up the fan zone atmosphere beachside. With the Summer Olympic Games headed for Los Angeles and Long Beach in 2028, the Sea Change Festival affords opportunities for public-engagement with US Sailing and advances Kilroy’s vision to amplify positive community impact initiatives while supporting the athletes in their pursuit of excellence on the international stage.

Who You May Spot: Event sponsors and partners include: Kilroy, US Sailing, Surfrider Foundation, GDX Studios, YETI, Alani Media, West Marine, Leap Coffee, Verger Guys, DJ Johnny Tarr, iDome, Harken Derm, Gill Marine, Alvéole, and many more.
