Deets: Cinespia, LA’s favorite cinematic experience presented by Amazon Studios, today announced that they will close out the month of September and its 20th anniversary season with screenings of Some Like It Hot (9/11) and Coming to America (9/25) at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery with an additional screening of School of Rock (9/17) at the LA Historic Park. The summer finale screening of Coming to America will also feature a fireworks show.
Saturday, September 11th - Some Like It Hot at Hollywood Forever. Hiding out is a drag when two musicians on the lam turn on the glam to keep from dangerous mobsters. Joe becomes Josephine, Jerry becomes Daphne as they join an all-girl jazz band. The romp turns riotous when the gentlemen in disguise (Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon) prefer blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe, in her most lovable and layered performance. Watch the wild and infectious comedy from master Billy Wilder on the big screen, dress up for our photobooth, picnic with wine at sunset and enjoy one of the greatest films ever made. Outside beer and wine are permitted with your picnic, no spirits please. DJ sets bring the sparkle to life before and after the movie.

Saturday, September 25th - Coming to America at Hollywood Forever.
What began with a screening of Strangers on a Train for a few hundred people has become a Los Angeles institution, hosting hundreds of thousands of moviegoers on the famed Fairbanks Lawn. Now the most popular outdoor cinema event in Southern California, Cinespia is celebrated by fans and filmmakers for hosting a relaxed, off-beat experience. Welcoming up to 4,000 moviegoers per night, guests are invited to bring their own blankets, food, and drinks (including beer and wine), before settling in under the stars for a classic (and sometimes campy) cinematic experience. The magic of Hollywood’s most memorable moments is heightened by the roar of the crowd and movies on the big screen. Every screening also features world class DJ talent to keep the crowd buzzing before and after the main event.
