Deets: All eyes were on the runway last week as designers showcased transformative collections for Los Angeles Fashion Week Powered by Art Hearts Fashion. The week proved to be a moment for emerging creators and renowned designers alike, as guests saw inspired designs and head-turning wearable art. The shows were a hotspot for celebrities and influencers who came out eager to get a first look at the season’s latest trends. EyeBuyDirect, partnered with Los Angeles Fashion Week as a Presenting Sponsor, providing designers with the hottest styles for models walking the runway. VIP guests found stylish, quality frames from EyeBuyDirect in their event gift bags and shared their favorite styles on social using the hashtag #RunwayMyWay.

The beauty trends on the catwalk were made possible by Title Beauty Sponsor Runway Rogue, Official Makeup Tool Sponsor Japonesque, and Official Hair Care Sponsor I.C.O.N. Thursday, October 14th

HOUSE OF SKYE by Skye Yayoi Drynan opened the week of shows with an inclusive, trendsetting collection. The line brought to life a Phoenix Rising theme, featuring men’s metallic jackets, structured suiting, and dramatic corsets. The brand showcased their globally patented SEXYBACK BRA with stars of Bling Empire, Kelly Li Mi and Kane Lim walking in the show.

Jonathan Marc Stein took the runway next with a crowd pleasing collection of lux eveningwear in deep colors of emerald, ruby, and blue. Bold statement garments shined with elegant draping and tulle skirts. Gh Luxury Lingerie followed on the runway with the brand’s signature ‘Lingerie as Outerwear’ designs. The high fashion pieces and unisex styles brought chic cuts and fashion forward tailoring centerstage. House of Castell by Merlin Castell closed the opening day of Art Hearts Fashion with a theatric avantgarde collection. Drag Queen Nebraska Thunderfuck stole the show in a jaw-dropping, see-through red gown.

Friday, October 15th

Glaudi kicked off day two with an elegant collection of eveningwear for men and women. The couture bridal house showcased stunning floor-length gowns in pastel, and deep tones, alongside men's bespoke suits. Next on the runway, Eni Buiron FEMME brought a dramatic collection of striking silhouettes and powerful designs. Black pieces came alive with pops of gold creating a regal aesthetic. Alexis Monsanto closed the first show of the night with a Kaleidoscope of color. Nature reigned supreme in a collection featuring elaborate floral and horned head pieces, feathers and expert layering.

Watt x W.G., the collaboration between designer Willfredo Gerardo and Artist Chance Watt, elevated street style looks with hand-painted designs in bright neon and pastel colors. Next, model-turned-designer Anna Gupta showcased a red carpet worthy collection of women’s evening wear. The designer’s imaginative line stood out with ethereal, whisper light capes and sleeves. Celebrity designer Willfredo Gerardo closed day two of shows with sequin sets, soft feminine designs, and voluminous dresses is striking yellows and greens.

Saturday, October 16th

ARGYLE GRANT opened the shows with sophisticated, patterned swim trunks and speedos in fun energetic designs. Chicago Playground followed with a collegiate-style collection of letterman’s jackets and cardigans. The fresh take turns iconic styles into conversation-pieces. Next up, Chavez Inc. drew eyes in with inspired futuristic women’s couture. The ingenious designs shimmered and shined with crystals, gems, and diamonds.

Custo Barcelona treated guests to a virtual show, allowing guests to view his latest collection via video. The ingenious line filled the runway with color.

Adam Saaks Religion debuted his latest hand cut apparel and high end athleisure. The designer closed his show demonstrating his work by live cutting a garment on the runway. Kentaro Kameyama, winner of season 16 of Project Runway, blew guests away with a strong narrative in his predominantly black and white collection. Structure ruled the wearable-art designs with thick fridge elements. Fan favorite Mister Triple X closed the evening with a rock-n-roll streetwear line, highlighting plunging necklines and curve hugging designs. The Biker Babes and Bikinis theme was on full display with spiked hoodies, unique harnesses, and metallic bodysuits.

Sunday, October 17th

A stand out collection by stylist’s go-to NATALIA FEDNER showcased shimmering sets and see-through dresses. The brand’s patented 6-way Stretch Metal designs, mold to the wearer with their own body heat. StormyWeather Designs followed with deconstructed military style apparel for men and women. The brand utilizes camo and varied fabrics to create pieced, invigorated looks. Next on the runway, Giannina Azar brought old-school glamour back to life with stunning head-to-toe beaded and embellished womenswear.

Kenneth Barlis of season 19’s Project Runway, opened the final show of the week with The Moretsuna Gemu SS22 collection. Jaw-dropping, barely-there strap bodysuits and dramatic puff sleeve jackets delighted in this bright, strong line. ASTA RAZMA followed with COLLECTION ALPHA Spring/Summer 2022. The edgy, confident collection featured spray- paint art, chains, and barbed wire fits on a pret-a-porter collection of coats jackets corsets. Diana Couture X UBS Gold closed out fashion week with a grand finale showcase of their CYBER COUTURE SS21. The collection, a collaboration with Indonesian based gold accessory brand UBS, was a feast of imaginative apparel from bodysuits to ball gowns.
