Deets: The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) hosted its 2020 annual Impact Awards Gala, celebrating the Latinx community’s progress in media over the past year. Emcees Justina Machado and Jacob Vargas welcomed nearly 500 attendees, coming together to support NHMC’s advocacy work for a more inclusive entertainment industry toward the Latinos, at the star-studded gala at the Beverly Wilshire.

  • Jay Hernandez (Magnum P.I.) - Outstanding Television Performance Impact Award

  • In The Heights (Warner Bros. Chair and CEO Ann Sarnoff; cast) - Visionary Impact Award

  • Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Archie Comics, CCO) - Outstanding Executive Producer Impact Award

  • Freeform’s Party of Five (Amy Lippman, EP; cast) - Outstanding Television Impact Award

  • Ozzie Areu (Founder & CEO, Areu Bros. Studios - first major Latino owned and operated media studio in the U.S.) - Trailblazer Impact Award

  • Dany Garcia (Founder, Chairwoman and CEO of The Garcia Companies and TGC Management and Co-Founder of Seven Bucks Companies) - Outstanding Film Producer Impact Award

  • Isabella Gomez (One Day At A Time) - Outstanding Series Performance Impact Award
