Deets: PetPOP, a pop-up museum featuring pet-themed interactive exhibits for humans, is coming to Los Angeles for Summer 2019. The experience will be open from July 11 – September 30, 2019. Pre-sale tickets are now available at Petpop.me.
In addition to photo-worthy immersive exhibits and art installations, PetPOP aims to drive awareness for animal homelessness and empower pet adoption agencies to help cats and dogs find their forever homes. PetPOP has partnered with local Los Angeles animal organizations including Wags and Walks and Paw Works to host on-site adoptions for their puppies in need. Attendees will have the opportunity to pet and play with the animals in the “Adoption Alley” space of the museum. A portion of the event proceeds will also benefit these agencies.
Founded by Alex Pischalnikov and Joe Kerwin, PetPOP was conceived from their own experience and a love for their animal companions. Alex and Joe both moved to Los Angeles from Chicago to expand their respective entrepreneurial journeys. Along the way, Joe found his best friend in the form of Miniature Schnauzer, Zelda, whose owner had given her up. Alex adopted his German Shepherd puppy, Cleo. Joe and Alex had began attending various pop-up experiences and not before long, PetPop was born.
“We became inspired to create an experience celebrating our love for our furry companions and raise awareness to how many amazing animals need homes,” said Pischalnikov.
Each room of the museum will feature different pet-themed exhibits and experiences. Guests can step into the black-and-white spotted Dalmation infinity room, go for a run in the life-sized hamster wheel, tour human-sized custom built cat and dog houses and so much more! Select spaces such as the Petflix & Chill room will also feature innovative technology with VR experiences.
