Deets: The Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue hosts its fifth annual Fall Festival to celebrate our piggy friends!  The rescue is America’s largest guinea pig rescue. The annual Guinea Pig Fall Festival will take place on October 20th at the organization’s ranch in Chatsworth, CA (just outside of Los Angeles) and include the following:  

• Tours of the ranch and their rescues (guinea pigs, pigs, horses, birds and more!)  

• Guinea Pig Adoption Services 

• Guinea Pig Games & Races  with Prizes (Best in Show, Best Hair, etc.) 

• If you have a guinea pig you’re invited to bring your pet with you!   

• Vegan Food & Beverage Vendors  

• Face Painting and other Fall crafts 

The Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue was founded in 1999. It is a no-kill private shelter that offers rescue, sanctuary and adoption services for guinea pigs. The guinea pigs are rescued from private homes and from city shelters. 

Guinea pigs are considered starter pets for children but just like any other animal, a guinea pig needs a loving and caring home. It is important to raise awareness of guinea pigs and that many end up in shelters because the owners underestimate the work that goes into having a guinea pig as a pet.
