Deets: Le Diner en Blanc, a leading summer event in Paris for the past 30 years, is now well on its way to becoming the event of the year in Los Angeles! On Saturday, October 12th, more than 3200 guests are expected to attend the sixth edition of Le Dîner en Blanc – Los Angeles, which will take place at a secret locationdisclosed to guests just prior to arrival.
THE CONCEPT
Every year in 80 cities around the world, thousands of people dressed entirely in white descend on a landmark public space with everything they need for an elegant soirée in tow, including folding table and chairs, gourmet picnic, fine china, silverware, and tablecloth. Over the course of the evening, the guests eat and celebrate amid live music and dancing. Many spend weeks in advance planning their menus and the white ensemble. The event offers the perfect occasion to express their unique fashion and design style; the often elaborate and creative outfits, fantastical hats, and decorative table settings are always a fabulous spectacle.
HOW IT WORKS
Thousands of guests are invited to attend an elegant picnic at a ‘secret location.” The outdoor phenomenon is held at the undisclosed destination only revealed upon arrival. To ensure that the location is kept secret until last minute, guests meet at an assigned departure location and are escorted by a Dîner en Blanc volunteer.
