Deets: Around the world there is a massive migration to reach family and home during the Chinese New Year celebrated this year from January 29th and ending with the Lantern Festival February 12th.
Janet Cam will be cooking the celebratory dishes of her mother and grandmother she prepares every year for her adopted family of friends. Central to the Chinese New Year banquet is a velvety poached chicken with a surround of bbq pork, pork belly, lop cheung sausage and the accompanying sauces. The dish will be prepared as described in the recent issue of Bethesda Magazine November/December issue (see below). Hong bao (red envelope), stories and family traditions to the most important Chinese holiday will be shared.
Hint for the Average Socialite: Tickets are $125 and non-refundable.

Wine will be paired with the meal as well as a non-alcohol mocktail.
