Deets: Indie Chefs Community (ICC) is on the road with the ten-city, nationwide dinner series — the “Road to COMMUNE” — and they’re setting up the “anti-food-festival” in Washington, DC from May 12-15. Taking place at The LINE Hotel, the Road to COMMUNE: DC will feature more than 25 nationally acclaimed chefs who will come together to prepare a multi-day collaborative culinary experience.

Billed as an anti-food-festival, ICC challenges the conventional, corporate festival model in favor of one that is more equitable, champions social justice, compensates chefs for their time and talent, and focuses on providing resources to further the hospitality industry.

Thursday, May 12, 2022: Preliminary Dinner One, 7:00 PM at the LINE Hotel. 12 courses with wine pairings for $195/person + taxes and fees. Guest capacity: 125.

  • Join the Indie Chefs for a celebration of Arabiyya, Reem Assil’s long-anticipated debut cookbook, as she speaks in conversation with Zoe Adjonyoh, author of Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen. Located at The LINE’s No Goodbyes restaurant, with a meet-and-greet with Reem, the celebration’s ticket price includes a signed copy of Arabiyya and passed bites. Cocktails will be available for purchase. Tickets are $55/person + taxes and fees.

Sunday, May 15, 2022: Grand Finale Collaboration Dinner, 6:30 PM at the LINE. 12 courses with wine pairings for $245/person + taxes and fees. Guest capacity: 135.
