Deets: Join us in celebrating AAPI Heritage Awareness Month, this May! Spring Fashion Fête, An evening of AAPI Fashion, Shopping and Fun! Presented by the Asian American Chamber of Commerce and Yas Media
The Spring Fashion Fête brings together Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) designers and small businesses and aims to highlight their creativity and talents in the nation's capital during the month of May, which is AAPI Heritage Awareness month. Through this event, the Spring Fashion Fête creates awareness around the successes of the AAPI community and celebrates local AAPI-owned businesses. The evening will be made up of a pop-up shop, fashion show and reception.
Participating AAPI designers include: Batax Bule - an AAPI small and woman owned brand in DC with Indonesian inspired prints on clothes and housewares, FANGYÁN STORES - an AAPI small and woman owned company in the DC area featuring women's clothing and houseware brands.
POP-UP: The evening kicks off at 5:30 pm with an opportunity for attendees to shop goods from local AAPI brands and vendors.
FASHION SHOW: The Fashion Show will begin at 7:00 pm with a welcome from distinguished guests. An emcee will announce each garment and music will play as models pose in unique designer creations.
RECEPTION: Attendees will have the opportunity to meet participants, enjoy refreshments and complementary small bites by the hosts, after 7:30 pm. Guests will have the opportunity to meet AAPI designers and community members.
Hint for the Average Socialite: Registration includes entry to Fashion Show and Reception, plus a complementary goody bag! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Asian American Chamber of Commerce Foundation which provides scholarships and community youth programming.
