Deets: Join us on December 3, 2022 for the 30th Anniversary of the District's Holiday Boat Parade presented by Washington Gas. Celebrate the holidays with this iconic DC event that features over sixty beautifully decorated boats parading along the Washington Channel.
Guests can enjoy a multitude of family-friendly activities including:
Taking family photos with Santa
Ornament decorating, face painting, balloon animal making and more by Recreation Pier
Skating at The Wharf Ice Rink on Transit Pier
Roasting s'mores at the Camp WAFF fire pit and visiting the lighted 45-foot Christmas Tree
Warming up at Washington Gas Winter Warm-Up stations
Sampling winter drinks at the Waterfront Beer, Wine & Whiskey Garden featuring ice-cold Pacifico beer and warm craft cocktails from
Visiting the on Market Pier, home to the Jack Daniel’s barrel tree benefiting Operation Ride Home, and sampling signature Jack Daniel’s cocktails
Enjoying live music all night long from the Royals on District Pier
Watching the dazzling fireworks finale
Come early and learn what goes on behind the scenes of making a movie with a pop-up movie-making workshop on Recreation Pier with the team from DC Independent Film Festival.
PARADE SCHEDULE:
6:00–9:00pm — Activities throughout The Wharf (Waterfront Beer and Wine Garden, s’mores, and live music by the Royals)
7:00pm — Boats arrive in the Washington Channel
8:00pm — Fireworks Salute
8:15pm–9:00pm — Live music by the Royals on the District Pier Stage
PARKING:
The parking garage at The Wharf will fill up before the event begins. There are many ways to get to The Wharf that are better than driving and parking, including rideshare and taxis, the free Southwest Shuttle, Water Taxi, and Metro service updates. If you must drive, plan to park at one of the nearby parking garages: bit.ly/3pEABhp
Hint for the Average Socialite: This event is free and open to the public; no registration is required to view the parade or enjoy the live music and activities. Must be 21+ to consume alcohol. This event will take place rain or shine. Actual start times may vary pending parade progress.
