Deets: FX presents an immersive experience in honor of the adaptation of Octavia E. Butler’s best-selling novel, Kindred, premiering on December 13th exclusively on Hulu. 

Washingtonians visiting The Wharf Holiday Ice Rink & Christmas Tree are invited to warm up and grab a free cup of joe by Black-owned, Atlanta-based Dope Coffee as well as branded book totes and a complimentary digital download* of the novel at FX’s Kindred  The Book Stop. Visitors will have an opportunity to learn about the original series premiering December 13th only on Hulu and view artistic interpretations of Kindred’s themes as cover art from up-and-coming Black artists in an intimate mobile display.

The Book Stop will feature book-jacket sized artistic works from contemporary painter, Lory Ivey Alexander; mixed media artist, Destiny Belgrave; and illustrator, photo editor and art director, Lyne Lucien.

 As an extended offering, visitors will be invited to stop by DC Black-owned bookstore, Mahogany Books, to shop a curated collection of books by similar authors.
