Deets: Bring your family and get ready for Halloween at the JICC during our special gallery hours on Sunday, October 23 from 10AM to 4PM. Halloween costumes (or cosplay) are encouraged!
Enjoy trick-or-treating, kamishibai or Japanese paper theater storytelling at (11AM, 1PM, & 3PM), and Halloween-themed origami activities. Educational videos highlighting Japanese culture will also be shown throughout the day.
You'll also get to check out our latest cosplay exhibition Crafting Global Friendships: Celebrating 20 Years of the World Cosplay Summit featuring stunning handmade costume gear from famous Japanese anime series like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Cardcaptor Sakura, Revolutionary Girl Utena, and more. We hope to see you there!
Hint for the Average Socialite: This event is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is recommended. Some walk-ins may be accommodated depending on supplies and capacity. Feel free to come in your costume (or cosplay) to trick-or-treat! Please wear a mask to wear inside of the JICC's auditorium.
