Deets: The Heurich House Museum’s Christkindlmarkt returns in person this year, and will take place in the museum’s Castle Garden from Friday, December 3rd through Sunday, December 5th, 2021. DC holiday shoppers will stroll through a festive German-style market featuring dozens of local craftspeople and artisans who will sell their goods during this celebratory event. The market will highlight the historic revival of the Chr. Heurich Brewing Co.’s Senate Beer, with tastings, a mini outdoor exhibit, and newly released merchandise.
Christkindlmarkt is the museum’s largest annual fundraiser and supports our Small Business Development Program, which during the pandemic supported hundreds of local small businesses.
Hint for the Average Socialite: Tickets will be sold online until December 2nd (General Admission $10, Holiday Cheer $16) and at the door (General Admission $13, Holiday Cheer $19). The General Admission fee includes all-day admission to the market. Food and refreshments (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase at the market.
For the first time, the museum is offering a “Holiday Cheer” ticket, which includes one alcoholic beverage from a curated menu featuring Senate Beer, Glühwein, and a selection of locally crafted drinks.
The museum’s historic house will be closed for tours out of an abundance of caution and the health and safety of our staff and volunteers.
