Hey Average Socialites! Feeling like you want to delve into your creative side?  Here are some interactive art exhibits going on right now all throughout the 5 boroughs.

Arts District Experience
25 Franklin St / Brooklyn / Aug 5 - Nov 20 / Ticketed
Arts District Brooklyn brings creativity to technology.  This year, they are hosting three different experiences that are sure to leave you speechless. Limitless A.I., where you’ll explore the world through the lens of Artificial Intelligence, Darkfield Flight, a flight simulation in total darkness, and Darkfield Seance, an auditory experience where you and your group will attempt to communicate with the dead.

The FRIENDS Experience

Need more FRIENDS in your life?  Grab your own buddies and come visit this adorable pop up!  Filled with props from the set, you can get creative with how you interact with them and recreate famous FRIENDS moments!  

BronxArtSpace
700 Manda Street / Bronx / Ticketed
This space is home to numerous exhibits throughout the year, all of which show off some of the most skilled artists around.  Every exhibit lasts for a few days to a few weeks, each with their own core theme + message.  Right now, the exhibit on display is Giving Light: Artists for Social Justice, themed around solutions to gun violence and what causes or influences it.

Artechouse - Life of a Neuron
439 W 15th St / Manhattan / Thru Sept 5 / Ticketed
With incredible, innovative art, artechouse is always hosting something you will want to see.  Right now, they are hosting Life of a Neuron, which will take you on the journey exploring one of the most important cells in our body: the brain neuron.  

Queens Museum
New York City Building / Queens
The Queens Museum is packed full of diverse and unique exhibits.  Find yourself interested in how NYC’s waterways work?  They have an exhibit for that.  Crave a more immersive experience with sound and drawings?  They have an exhibit for that.  Love lamps?  There’s an exhibit for that too!  No matter what niche your interest is, there is sure to be something in this museum you’ll love!

The Fans Strike Back

With hundreds of statues, props, and sculptures, any Star Wars buff will feel right at home here!  You can even dress up as the iconic characters from the series and pose in front of a green screen to recreate the battles.  May the force be with you!

Museum of the Moving Image
36-01 35 Ave / Queens / Ticketed
Film, Video games, and all other kinds of digital media have a history that is incredibly intertwined, and this is the place where you can see it all!  Right now they are also hosting an exhibit dedicated to Jim Henson and his colorful cast of muppets which includes original puppets from many of his projects!

Universal Hip Hop Museum
610 Exterior Street / Bronx
Walk, don’t run to the grand opening of the Universal Hip Hop Museum!  Boasting a collection of thousands of mixtapes, photographs, and artifacts from the late 80’s, you’re sure to have a throwback moment here.
