Deets: We’re bringing the luck of the Irish to the waterfront with our Ireland on The Wharf festival! Celebrate the beauty and tradition of the Emerald Isle with bagpipers, live music, dance performances and a beer garden on District Pier. Sip a pint and enjoy all the fun of a true Irish festival. All ages welcome, must be 21+ to consume alcohol. Slainte!

Both City Tap Dupont and City Tap Penn Quarter are offering delicious menu specials and fun giveaways for St. Patrick’s Day. To get guests into the St. Patrick’s spirit early, from March 14 through March 17 the restaurants will be serving $18 beer-battered fish and chips, $8 corned beef and cabbage spring rolls, and $9 bread pudding. Guests will also be able to order any beer of their choice in a half-pour and top it off with Guinness. Anyone who finds a shamrock sticker underneath their beer glass gets lucky and wins a voucher for a free drink at a later date. On the St. Patrick’s weekend during brunch, City Tap Dupont and City Tap Penn Quarter will also serve a hearty $14 Irish Breakfast platter and $13 French Toast with Lucky Charms marshmallows and whiskey syrup. For the actual St. Patrick’s Day holiday, the first 24 guests that buy a Guinness beer will receive a special etched glass with the City Tap and Guinness logos engraved.

Throughout the weekend, guests can choose from two different flights of tastings with a full size pour of their favorite for $15. TheGlendalough Irish Whiskey flight includes Glendalough Double Barrel, 7 Year Old Single Malt, and 13 Year Old Irish Whiskey Mizunara Oak Finish, while theConnacht Whiskey Company flight is made up of Brothership Irish-American Whiskey Aged 10 Years, Ballyhoo Grain, and Spade & Bushel 10 Year Old Single Malt. Pair these tastings with food specials like corned beef spring rolls ($12) and shepherd’s pie ($20) with braised pulled pork, available from open to 10pm March 15 through March 17 (whiskey flights available open to close). St. Patrick’s Day @ City Winery
When: Sunday, March 17
For St. Patrick’s Day, City Winery is serving up a $21 Shepherd’s Pie entrée and offering their proprietary sauvignon blanc with a special twist. Get a glass of the wine and say you want it green, and the restaurant will dye your glass green. Glasses of the sauvignon blanc are $11, with carafe pours available perfect for sharing with a group.
