Deets: Celebrate Mardi Gras with a Wharf-wide extravaganza! Grab your friends and family for a New Orleans-style parade along Wharf Street with live music, custom-designed floats, and beads galore. Don't miss out on specials from our resturants. The party starts at 2pm and ends with a fireworks finale at 6pm. Laissez les Bons Temps Rouler!

Hot Spot: City Winery (1350 Okie St NE, Washington, DC 20002)
Starting on March 4 and running all during the week of Mardi Gras until March 10, City Winery is serving a $24 Andouille sausage and crawfish etouffee entree in their Barrel Room Restaurant & Wine Bar. Pair the classic with a $13 Hurricane for a fully festive meal.

City Tap Penn Quarter is celebrating Fat Tuesday with specials, giveaways, and more. Renowned Louisiana brewery Abita will be on site pouring seven beers and hosting giveaways of Abita swag, and as a special treat, a giveaway for tickets to the March 20thWashington Capitals home game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The restaurant is also pouring $10 Hurricanes and $8 slices of King Cake for the holiday. Guests ordering King Cake will have another shot to win a special prize – whoever gets a slice with the customary plastic baby baked into it will win a $100 City Tap gift card.
