Deets: In an effort to create even more hype for the now four-year-old music festival series, Budweiser is teaming up with one of the greats. Mary J. Blige, the reigning queen of hip-hop soul is headlining Budweiser’s first-ever concert for their Monument Series – a prelude, private concert to be held at The Statue of Liberty on June 21.
Blige will performance at the foot of the iconic staple of New York City’s skyline, and is stated to be a “once-in-a-lifetime” performance. “A New York icon and the queen of hip hop soul, Mary J. Blige epitomizes what it means to make it big in America on her own terms,” said a rep for Budweiser in a press release. “She parallels Budweiser’s own ambition – to brew great macro beer and deliver unparalleled fan experiences.”
The prelude concert series serves as a celebration of the centennial anniversary of the National Parks Service, taking place at iconic monuments and parks across the country throughout the year.

Hint For The Average Socialite: 21 and older fans may enter to win a pair of tickets until 11:59pm ET on June 14, 2015. Winners of the sweepstakes will be announced June 16. Budweiser will also roll out limited edition Bud-light bottles, illustrated with the silhouette of the Statue of Liberty, to commemorate the inaugural concert.
