Deets: The Dream Builders Project (DBP) successfully hosted the second annual A Brighter Future for Children Gala on Thursday, March 5th 2015 at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Los Angeles. More than 300 of Los Angeles’ elite attended, including leaders in the property, fashion and entertainment industries. David Arquette (Never Been Kissed), Terrell Owens (NFL), and Kristen Renton (Sons of Anarchy) were just a few of the celebrity attendees. The focus of the evening was to raise awareness and funds for the Audrey Hepburn CARES Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
The Audrey Hepburn CARES Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles provides medical expertise to reliably identify and treat hundreds of children who fall victim to abuse and neglect each year. From sexual and physical abuse to neglect and HIV-infected victims, the Audrey Hepburn CARES Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles reports between 500 and 600 suspected cases annually. All proceeds from the gala went directly towards expanding the center and allowing the medical staff to continue their crucial work.
“A Brighter Future for Children Gala 2015 was a huge success, and it is thanks to the kindness and generosity of our board members, celebrity hosts, sponsors and guests that we are able to keep doing what we are doing,” says founder Mayer Dahan. “Each year, this event exhibits how small companies and organizations can come together and have a profound impact on the community - all while having an amazing time doing it.”
Celebrities and guests that attended were blown away by the beauty of the venue and the entertainment that made the night extra special. A crowded red carpet, live artists, a wishing tree, poker tournament, and musical performances by some of today’s remarkable talent, made the night one to remember.
The DBP’s next act of charity will be to host their signature “flash mob” for the homeless. Happening anywhere at anytime, summer survival kits containing first aid kits, clothing, and food items will be passed out to help the homeless in Los Angeles survive the hot, harsh heat.
Spotted: Emma Pilsburry, Jill-Michele Melean, Leyna Nguyen, Brian Krause, Grace Winslow, Kristen Renton, and Alex Newell are confirmed to attend.
Last year’s event was supported by celebrities such as Karrueche Tran, Katerina Graham, Adam Rodriguez, Josh Ledet, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and many more. Some of the celebrities who have already jumped on board include Sons of Anarchy stars Kristen Renton and LaMonica Garrett, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless’ Adrienne Frantz, GLEE’s Alex Newell, and Never Been Kissed star David Arquette.
