Hey Average Socialites!  Pride Month is here and in full swing!  Below is a list of events and business specials that are going on throughout the month of June. Happy Pride!

Bear Donut
40 W 31st Street / Manhattan / June
This adorable specialty donut shop has a special flavored donut for this month!  Cut in half, filled with cotton candy cream, and adorned with rainbow sprinkles, this sweet treat is sure to brighten up your day. Yum!

Essex Pearl
88 Essex Street / Manhattan/ June / Reservations
Essex Pearl is a restaurant that serves up exquisite dishes that originated from SouthEast Asia.  For Pride Month, they will be serving a special Pride Oysters dish.  The oysters will be topped with rainbow colored Fish Roe and served alongside Red Chili Nuoc Cham and House Fried Shallots.  A portion of proceeds from this dish will go towards The Trevor Project, a crisis support service for LGBT+ individuals.

Maman
211 W Broadway / Manhattan / June
Maman is not only serving up delicious rainbow cookies in store, but they are also doing a promotion for a whole rainbow cake online!  The company is donating a portion of the proceeds from the pride specials to a charity called God’s Love We Deliver.  Said charity works with people of all ages and genders who live with HIV/aids and other severe illnesses by providing patients with home delivered meals.

Drag Bingo @ Moxy Chelsea

Broadway Show: The Importance of being LGBTQIA+

Enjoy an incredible performance of this contemporary retelling of The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.   A hilarious and thought provoking play for all to enjoy, especially if you’ve read the original.  

Brooklyn Pride Parade

Show off your LGBT+ pride and spirit in the Brooklyn Pride parade!  March on down the street with members of the LGBT+ community and allies, wave your flags, and enjoy live entertainment.

Our Gaze: Short Film Screening
448 E 149th St, 3rd Floor / Bronx / June 14 @ 6:30PM-9PM
In need of indie movies to watch?  This is the event for you!  You will get an exclusive viewing of numerous short films with LGBT+ characters and themes, all created by Bronx filmmakers.  Free food will also be provided!

Silent Disco Pride Party
Wagner Park, 20 Battery Place / Manhattan / June 16 @ 7PM / Register 
Get down with the beats at this silent disco!  With three DJ’s all playing their own distinct tunes, you have the choice to listen to whichever DJ you want, whenever you want.  Tickets are limited, so be sure to register quickly if you want to attend.

“Talk Dirty To Me” Workshop

Participate in a sex-educational workshop led by professional Sex Educator, Lisa Finn.  Learn all about sexting, role playing, and boost your confidence for sexy time.  There will also be a raffle at the end for a magic wand!

Revelers are invited to find their inner queens with an interactive Drag Queen Makeup Workshop hosted by Sparkle Monster. “Students” can learn the fundamentals of altering the facial structure, exaggerating the eyes, and how to work your new persona firsthand from the queen herself for a small “tuition” fee. Free Tattoo sessions and Ilegal Mezcal tasting from 2-5PM in the Library Café. Guests will taste the liquor used in signature drinks on property that are being sold through June to benefit Ilegal Mezcal’s charitable partner, Way Out.

Fresh Towels – A Comedy Show (PRIDE) Edition @ Moxy East Village

A standup comedy showcase hosted by resident funnyman Mark “Jiggy” Jigarjian. Guests can sip on the original Stonewall Inn IPA from Brooklyn Brewery between laughs. Two complimentary drinks are included with admission, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative. Tickets available here.

Stencil1 Custom Moxy PRIDE Bandanas @ Moxy Times Square

Bacardi Tasting at Nomo Soho

Bacardi tasting in Nomo Soho’s lobby, followed by a Bacardi Rum Room party in Nina’s, featuring a cigar roller and specials on Bacardi drinks including Ocho Old Fashioned, Coconut Mojito, Jungle Bird and Cuatro & Coke – all to encourage guests to “do what moves you”.

In celebration of Pride, Rockefeller Center will host the 2022 Love Above All Ball on June 24th from 9PM-2AM at the iconic Rainbow Room benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

PRIDE Variety Show! @ Moxy Times Square

PRIDE Pop-Up Shop

Want to support women and LGBT+ business owners?  This one stop pop up shop will have numerous items, like skincare supplies, candles, clothing, and more!  The shop will also have live music all day and alcoholic drinks to purchase.

The 53rd Annual NYC Pride March
Begins at 25th St & Fifth Avenue / Manhattan
The city’s Pride festivities return to fully in-person for the first time since 2019. The 53rd annual Pride March takes place on June 26, beginning at noon from 25th Street and Fifth Avenue. The procession will make its way to Chelsea, at 16th Street and Seventh Avenue. The grand marshals this year are Ts Madison, Punkie Johnson, Schuyler Bailar, Dominique Morgan and Chase Strangio, with Angelica Ross returning for a second year as co-host.

818 will take on the NYC parade on June 26 route with an 818-wrapped electric Mini Moke. The celebrations continue with an after party at Common Ground Bar.

818 Tequila NYC Waterway Boat
10 South Street / Waterway Trip from Manhattan to Governors Island / June 25 & 26
818 Tequila will be taking over a Ferry for two days!  Enjoy signature drinks and cocktails, receive and buy limited merchandise, and a live drag show performance!  They have also sent $50,000 to The Venture Out Project, a charity which focuses on day hikes and overnight trips for those in the LGBT+ community, so you know exactly where your money is going.

Youth Game Night (Hybrid)
The Pride Center of Staten Island, 66 Willow Avenue / Staten Island / June 28 @ 3PM-6PM / Google Meet
Drop in for a night of playing some fun board games, card games, and video games!  You can attend in person or virtually if you’re feeling like cuddling on your couch. 

Guess Who, Bitch!? @ Moxy Chelsea

A surprising twist on a nostalgic childhood game, guests can guess their favorite drag queens instead of Anita, Bernard, and Susan, with prizes and performances throughout the night. Tickets available here.
