Wings Air Helicopters is a Westchester, NY based helicopter company that was founded in 2002. From their humble beginnings they have grown into a premier helicopter company offering innovative services. They are avid advocates of airborne travel and therefore, flying is not merely an occupation, but their passion.
In these unprecedented times they are offering frontline healthcare workers a tangible thank you for their heroic efforts against COVID-19: a once-in-a-lifetime helicopter tour of our majestic Big Apple, free of charge. Healthcare heroes truly deserve our gratitude and a show of our appreciation.
The first group of heroes from hard hit New York area hospitals have already taken their flights. Flights are conducted in the safest way possible: in small private groups with no-contact check in, mandatory face masks and hand sanitizing before flights. To protect passengers and crew, helicopters are thoroughly disinfected before each flight.
Unfortunately they have now exhausted the first round of donations and need your help with continuing the initiative. Following a prolonged business closure due to the pandemic, Wings Air is unable to cover all of the operating costs associated with this initiative on their own. They have pledged to cover 50% and this will not change. However, due to overwhelming interest they are now waitlisting heroes until more funds can be raised. The suggested donation amount is $150 which will cover 50% of our costs for a 30-minute tour for two passengers. However, please feel free to donate any amount that you can afford, it will all go towards the same goal. We hope to welcome many healthcare professionals on board to enjoy the magnificent aerial views of New York City and Westchester County.
