The story of Feya begins with founder Zahra making her first cake when she was 8. She first started baking with her mother, who has always encouraged her to pursue her passions. It was Zahra’s love for baking and art that flew her from Canada to London four years ago to study at Gordon Ramsay’s Tante Marie Culinary Academy, one of the oldest culinary schools in the UK.
They say the most magical things are destined to happen at the right time and that is exactly what happened for Zahra. After graduating, Zahra Khan fulfilled her professional dream of becoming a chef. From the beautiful and flowery decoration to the delicious brunch menu, Zahra worked hard to the day she finally opened the doors of her brainchild ‘Feya café’ in June 2018 - a few months after giving birth to her first daughter Sophia, who inspired the name Feya.
Feya James Street brings elements of pink floral nature and gold elegance in the heart of Marylebone in a cosy atmosphere. The Feya menu includes a unique range of brunch dishes along with a delicious range of drinks and fresh French pastries. The “instagrammable” concept makes Feya the perfect café for all things pretty, pastel and a hotspot for food that looks too good to eat.
Feya Knightsbridge displays a more tropical and leafy side of nature. The interior starts with a river of purple marble, leading you to Feya’s sunny sky, with a stop by the leafy rainforest. This enchanted forest in the heart of London has mesmerised many of our customers and is now our primary venue to host events.
The inspiring story does not end there, Zahra has since launched DYCE, a unique dessert shop with bespoke treats, bubble teas and milkshakes whilst pregnant with her second daughter. The newborn arrived hours after making the decision to open the second branch of Feya in Knightsbridge.
Since opening Feya, our team has been committed to making a difference in people's lives and creating a positive impact on society. The cafe has been fighting food waste by partnering with food sharing platforms OLIO and Too Good To Go to distribute food surplus. One of Feya’s core values is women empowerment, and the cafe has decided to build partnerships with charities working in helping women and girls build their confidence.
Since then, Feya was selected as Official Supplier for London Fashion Week and most recently has collaborated with Jennifer Lopez make- up artist Scott Barnes, Ascot, CoppaFeel - a breast cancer awareness charity and OLIO. Feya has also been featured multiple times in Made in Chelsea on Channel E4, Lorraine ITV breakfast show and in top fashion and lifestyle magazines including Vogue, Handbook, Harper Bazaar, OK, Sunday Times, Time Out and many more.
