Deets: The newly created outdoor oasis is reflective of a sunken garden complete with a spilling foundation. This Zen-like space is ideal for unwinding with family and friends to enjoy the crisp temperatures offset by the working firepits and cozy blankets provided on the terrace. The Fire Garden is open Monday through Friday, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. (weather permitting). Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Director of Food & Beverage and Culinary Operations Troy Knapp and Blue Duck TavernÕs Executive Chef Adam Howard are pleased to introduce an assortment of small bites ideal for sharing, to complement the new winter cocktails served in the Fire Garden and at Blue Duck Tavern Lounge. Guests can indulge in a Bavarian Pretzel with herb butter rub with melted raclette; Chocolate Fondue with fresh fruit; Cheese Fondue with seasonal vegetables and toasted country bread; BDT Fries with spicy aioli; the Maryland Crab Roll with sunchoke chow-chow and the Short Rib Tartine with horseradish aioli and pickled onion. Dishes are priced from $14 to $26 each.
To keep spirits warm, guests can savor handcrafted winter cocktails showcasing a variety of herbs and fruits, spices, and house-made infusions. Each drink incorporates at least one ingredient or garnish that was sourced directly from hotel’s rooftop garden. Choices include the Hot Ducky with fig-infused whiskey, black sesame honey and lemon juice; U Street Buttered Rum with Ethiopian spiced butter, cotton and reed gold rum and five spiced syrup, and Coco with a Kick made with Mexican hot chocolate, Fresno-infused Fidencio mezcal, banana liquor and whipped cream with lime and tajin. Cocktails are priced at $16 each. These winter aperitifs were created by Park Hyatt Washington, D.C. Lead Bartender Cole Burger and is also available through the first day of spring. Additionally, a thoughtfully curated list of beer and wine is also available on the Fire Garden menu. Highlights include the Arrowhead Cabernet, Fossil Point Pinot Noir, Turley Zinfandel and Freemark Abbey Chardonnay, Stella Artois, Pilsner Urquell, and Port City Porter to name a few. Wine and beer selections are priced from $8 to $19. The full beer, wine and cocktail menu is also beavailable for guests, upon request.
