Deets: On Wednesday, May 23rd, B. Riley FBR, Inc. will present the 9th Annual “Big Fighters, Big Cause” Charity Boxing Night benefiting the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. Hosted by actor and comedian Bill Bellamy, the evening will feature a thrilling mix of live professional boxing presented by Golden Boy Promotions, National Anthem performance by emerging actress and singer Kennedy Stephens, as well as a live & silent auction display, which will include iconic memorabilia and other one-of-a-kind items and experiences to benefit this important cause.
The live fights will begin at 6:30PM through 9PM, and the main event of the evening features rising super featherweight prospect Jousce “Tito” Gonzalez (7-0, 7 KOs) of Glendora, Calif. taking on Juan Sandoval (7-21-1, 4 KOs) of Toluca, Mexico in a six-round battle.
Additionally, Cedric “The Entertainer” will be honored with the 2018 Golden Glove Award to acknowledge his numerous charitable endeavors, including his work with Step On Up™, the educational program shedding light on diabetic nerve pain, developed by Pfizer Inc. in collaboration with the American Diabetes Association.
Proceeds from the exclusive event will support the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation and their mission to fund life-changing research, care and awareness for pediatric type 1 & 2 diabetes and to help children live healthier lives through diet and exercise.
