Deets: The most thrilling culinary competition of the summer returns to the incomparable Fairview Farm this July with Dan’s GrillHampton, a beloved event that pits East End chefs against Manhattan chefs in a grill-focused cooking showdown and tasting event where guests and celebrity judges alike vote for the best food of the night. This year’s celebrity host is David Burtka, chef, caterer and award-winning actor, who will soon release his first cookbook, “Life is a Party,” in the Spring of 2019. Along with returning favorites such as Shake Shack and Smokin’ Wolf BBQ, this year’s event welcomes new restaurants such as Noah’s on the Road and il Buco Alimentari e Vineria. The grand tent overlooking Mecox Bay will be filled not just with delectable grilled fare, beer and specialty cocktails, but also the music of Long Island’s favorite band, Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot - celebrating the music of Billy Joel! Past judges and celebrity hosts include Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli, Food Network’s Adam Richman, Live! with Kelly and Ryan’s Michael Gelman, and Dan’s Papers founder Dan Rattiner. VIP entry begins at 7:00 PM and will give guests access to the best-grilled dishes before the crowds begin as well as access to the waterfront VIP lounge. General Admission is at 8:00 PM.
