Deets: All flavors are welcome as The Taste, Los Angeles Times’ annual celebration of the Southern California culinary scene, returns to the Paramount Pictures Studios back lot this Labor Day weekend (Friday, Sept. 1 through Sunday, Sept. 3). Hosted by The Times Food staff and acclaimed chefs and bartenders, The Taste includes five individual events over three days.


Unlimited tastings from the city’s best kitchens, a variety of wine, beer and cocktails, plus access to demos and seminars are included with admission.

Friday, Sept. 1

OPENING NIGHT
7:30 to 10:30 PM
Hosted by Noelle Carter, Jonathan Gold, Jenn Harris & Amy Scattergood
The Taste's most intimate event features a focused collection of tastings, distinctive cocktail and wine offerings, and a chance to party on the back lot with The Times' hosts and many of the weekend's participating chefs and mixologists. Tickets: $150.

Saturday, Sept. 2

FIELD TO FORK
12 to 3 PM
Hosted by Amy Scattergood (Times Food Editor) & Sang Yoon (Father’s Office, Lukshon)
Enjoy dishes inspired by Southern California’s agricultural roots as L.A.’s most talked-about chefs share their mastery of cooking with locally-sourced ingredients. Tickets: $95 ($70 with L.A. Times subscriber discount).

DINNER WITH A TWIST
7:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Hosted by Jonathan Gold (Times Restaurant Critic), Jenn Harris (Times Deputy Food Editor), Antonia Lofaso (Scopa Italian Roots, Black Market) & Marco A. Ramos (Scopa Italian Roots)

Experience how seasonal cocktails, premium wines and great spirits pair with culinary creations from a variety of hand-picked local chefs and restaurants. Tickets: $130 ($105 with subscriber discount).

Sunday, Sept. 3

SUNDAY BLOCK PARTY
12 to 3 p.m.
Hosted by Noelle Carter (Times Test Kitchen Director) & Sherry Yard (Tuck Room Tavern)
L.A.’s best chefs and mixologists host a block party on the back lot with incredible bites and chilled cocktails. Tickets: $95 ($70 with subscriber discount).
