Deets: Attend happy hour for LLS on Thursday, May 25th from 6PM to 8PM at Southern Hospitality (1815 Adams Mill Rd, NW Washington, DC 20009). Donate $5 at the door and get a raffle ticket, happy hour specials ($5 select drafts, $5 select wines by the glass, $5 rail drinks) and half off wine all night! Glenda Lu & Kaushik Rath will be guest bartending - help Kiel Chesley with his last hurrah to raise money to end blood cancers!
**10% of proceeds and Glenda & Kaush's bartender tips will go to LLS!
We will be raffling off two D.C. United tickets and a $75 Copperwood Tavern gift card!
Located at the top of Adams Morgan, on the north corner of Adams Mill Road where 18th Street meets Columbia Road, Southern Hospitality is an inviting venue consisting of two levels and an outdoor patio, which provide plenty of bar and dining space.
About LLS Man & Woman of the Year
Each year, in communities across the country, dedicated candidates engage in an exciting competition to earn The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) "Man & Woman of the Year" titles. Raising funds for LLS blood cancer research the candidates compete in honor of children who are local blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year.
Every dollar raised counts as one vote and the titles are awarded to the man and woman with the most votes at the end of 10 weeks. Top local fundraisers become eligible to win the national titles. More than $184 million dollars has been raised through MWOY for the LLS mission since the campaign’s inception.
