Deets: On April 13, DuPont Underground and the Commission on Fashion Arts & Events (CFAE) in partnership with the National Cherry Blossom Festival will hold Underneath It All: An Underground Fashion Showcase featuring acclaimed local designers from across the Washington, D.C. area.
“The fashion industry in Washington, D.C. has significantly grown in the past few years, and we are elated to feature the outstanding work of our local designers,” said Christine Brooks-Cropper, CEO, Greater Washington Fashion Chamber of Commerce and CFAE chair. “We are also excited and honored to be a part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, an event that attracts visitors from all over the nation and world to Washington, D.C.”
During the closing week of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, Underneath It All: An Underground Fashion Showcase, will celebrate the cultural and historical diversity of our nation’s capital, while paying homage to the international relationships that built this festival.
The Commission on Fashion Arts & Events, established by the District of Columbia Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, is the driving force in promoting the fashion and beauty industry in Washington, D.C.
“The National Cherry Blossom Festival prides itself on showcasing the creativity and culture of Washington, D.C., and we are excited to work with the Commission of Fashion Arts and Events to include this unique fashion experience as part of our four-week- long springtime celebration,” said Diana Mayhew, President of the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
Food and drinks will be provided. Attendees must be over 21 years old.
