Deets: The Global Lyme Alliance will host its 2nd annual Uniting for a Lyme-Free World Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City on Thursday, October 13, 2016.
Last year’s inaugural Gala brought together more than 750 people and raised nearly $3 million to support the GLA mission–fund cutting-edge research and education programs to advance the prevention, prompt diagnosis and effective treatment of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases.
Reported cases of Lyme disease have increased 900% in the past five years to nearly 330,000 in 2015, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The majority of new cases involve children—more than 200 get Lyme disease every day. Your support will have a direct impact on fighting this aggressive and often debilitating illness. Join us in this important fight.
