Deets: Padma Lakshmi’s career as a chef, actress, and author has brought her into contact with flavors from all around the world. With The Encyclopedia of Spices and Herbs, she provides a definitive and beautifully photographed A-Z guide to the spices, herbs, salts, peppers, and blends that make for a well-stocked kitchen, along with a wealth of explanation, history, and cooking advice. She’ll be at the Strand to discuss the trials and errors along with the successes that culminated in the brand-new book!
Kerry Diamond, the co-founder and Editorial Director of Cherry Bomb, will be joining Padma to discuss this soon-to-be culinary classic.

Admission & Gift Card grants you admission for one, plus one $15 Strand gift card to be used at any time on any product.
Signed Copy, no admission does not grant admission to the event, but reserves a signed copy of the book for you, pending availability of signed copies after the event has concluded.
The event is in the Strand’s Rare Book Room, located on the 3rd floor of our store, at 828 Broadway and 12th Street, unless otherwise specified. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Admission and the signed copy / gift card will only be available for pick-up at the event, so please select “in store pick-up” as your shipping method. Payment is required at the time the order is placed. You may also purchase admission in the store at the registers, or at the time of the event in the Rare Book Room. Orders for just a signed copy and no admission will be processed 1-2 days after the event, pending availability of signed copies.
